Addendum to A’Dam

Cindy took some pictures that more completely depicted our last evening at A'Dam, and I wanted to add them before we take you too far away from Amsterdam.

This is a much better aerial picture of the Centraal station, which is just so massive:

And I had told you that we went up to the roof. I didn't take any photos but Cindy was busily taking care of that task.

It really was a spectacular view of the city from up there

Every public roof should have an animal. right?

And there's that death-defying swing. As I said before, not for the faint of heart.

I think this really does mark the end of our account of adventures in Amsterdam (unless we think of something else important we forgot to say already).

Back to Paris.

I am loving traveling along with you. Your narratives are so interesting to read. Beautiful descriptions of everything you are seeing and experiencing. Ken and I were in Amsterdam twice in a bike/ barge trip which began there. We spent some time there at museums and the Ann Frank house riding canals etc. so am reliving our time there. I am saving all your blogs in case we get back to some of these places. Relieved to hear Cindy has tested negative for Covid. Keep well and safe. Linda

Is that sign a warning to look out for the giant red horse? But WOW! That swinging seat is so high up, not something for me, but of course it’s okay for my skydiving daredevil pinochle buddy. I wish that I could hear your videos, especially a chorus. But how funny to find a chorus from Nevada in Amsterdam! Can’t wait to see Paris through your eyes.

About Us

Cindy "Born-to-be-wild" and Kate "She-who-falls-from-the-sky" have had many travel adventures, but this one is the biggest yet.  We've done the Mother Road, a cross-country road trip; we've dragged Toad behind us into the mountains and to the beaches; we've been to Hawaii for good and bad visits; we spent years working the Telluride Film Festival...but in our 27 years with each other we've barely been out of the country together. So we're flying off to Europe for two months of Eurailing from city to city, country to country, bnb to hotel to boatel. Cindy spent 7 years in Vienna and traveled from there to much of Europe. Kate has been almost nowhere except the Telluride Film Festival.
